Kriate HR helps founders, owners and leadership teams build the people systems that let a growing organisation run without depending on them for every decision: clear structure and roles, performance that is actually managed, a stronger leadership bench, and the right senior hires. We advise and then implement, and we stay until the outcome holds.
Our story
Kriate HR was incorporated in December 2010 and has been operating since January 2011. We are the HR services arm of Kriate Consultants, based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
Since 2010, we have worked with 90+ organisations across India — multinationals, listed manufacturers, technology and services firms, family-owned businesses, MSMEs and start-ups. Our clients span automotive and auto components, chemicals and petrochemicals, engineering, textiles and apparel, media and VFX, technology services, energy, healthcare and real estate.
Our work is grounded in practical implementation. We do not stop at recommendations. We stay involved through delivery and support our clients until the work is done and the outcomes are secure.
Our practitioners bring direct experience from business and operations HR — not just consulting. Jacob Raj Rajendran, our principal, spent 18+ years in HR roles at Ford, General Motors, TVS, Crompton Greaves, Cognizant and Ma Foi before and since founding Kriate.
How we are different
We are practitioners, not generalists. Our principal has held HR leadership roles in large organisations before consulting. We know what it is like to be on the inside.
We advise and implement. Most HR consultants deliver a report and leave. We stay through implementation — which is where most HR work fails.
We are direct. We tell you what we think, not what you want to hear. If a hire is wrong, we say so. If a policy is creating risk, we say so.
We work at your pace. We do not impose a methodology or a timeline. We work with your organisation as it is, not as a textbook says it should be.

Advice without implementation is incomplete
Recommendations only create value when they are implemented well. We stay involved through delivery — including the first review cycle, the first calibration session, the first difficult conversation.
Context matters more than templates
Every organisation is different. A family business in Chennai is not the same as a technology firm in Bengaluru. We design our work around your context, not a generic framework.
